Background: Designing Financial Freedom
- From 2020-2023, UX Cabin (agency I worked at) modernized The Family Office’s* way of business by bringing manual processes online, streamlining onboarding, improving account management, and giving client access to financial resources on web and mobile.
- I was part of a three-person team tasked with designing the Zaha app to increase financial literacy and freedom for women in the GCC**.
*The Family Office (TFO) is an independent wealth management firm serving some of the wealthiest families, individuals and investors in the GCC.
**GCC refers to the Gulf Cooperation Council region consisting of six countries in the Arabian Peninsula: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.

The Challenge
When TFO approached UX Cabin, they had observed low participation among female investors in their digital wealth management offering.
Their research attributed this to a lack of financial knowledge, which hindered investment decision-making.
Our high level goals were to:
- Provide accessible financial knowledge to foster financial literacy among women.
- Offer investment opportunities that cater to a diverse user base.
My Role
- I led the design of the Community feature and User Profile Page of the app between April and June 2023, and collaborated with a senior designer on the Onboarding screens, Dashboard and Learn feature.
- In addition, I worked alongside a Product Manager, an independent Researcher from TFO, and the TFO-Zaha stakeholders.
