Suite360 is a social and emotional learning platform targeted at helping students in the USA grow into emotionally stable and successful adults and citizens.
The platform was redesigned to improve the learning experience of the students by making it more engaging, easy and intuitive to navigate and aesthetically pleasing.
This project took place between January and April 2022 and I was part of a team of 4 consisting of myself, two other product designers and a project manager.
I conducted user research, delivered high fidelity screens, wireframes, a design system and prototypes for usability testing.
Teachers and schools struggled to have students complete lessons independently. The students found the platform unintuitive and boring, making it hard for them to navigate on their own.
Navigate360 wanted to improve the platform in the most effective way for a seamless user experience. It was clear that the interface was poor - confusing navigation, bad UI choices etc - and a redesign would be the best way forward.
I conducted user interviews with teachers to understand their pain points along with those of their students.
The main issue for the students was navigating the platform, as they were unable to locate their lessons without assistance from their teachers. They also found the user interface uninspiring, which demotivated them from completing lessons.
Our users ranged from grades K-12 and had diverse needs. At the beginning of this research, we only spoke with teachers about their students because we had not yet received permission from parents and guardians to interview the students.
